Drainage Strip for Dryvit & EIFS

Drainable EIFS Works.

Keep EIFS and Dryvit walls dry and healthy by including MTI's Corrugated Lath Strip as a drainage strip for dryvit and EIFS.

Synthetic stucco, also known as EIFS or Dryvit, has been providing continuous insulation since the 1970s. Originally designed as a barrier system, failures with early Dryvit and EIFS were corrected when the EIFS was detailed for predictable drainage.

Drainable EIFS is detailed by:

  • Adhesive applied in vertical strips creates in the field of the wall
  • An EIFS drainage strip at terminations to protect this air gap from being sealed off

Use an EIFS or Dryvit drainage strip to create a 1/8" gap that keeps the wall dry.

Corrugated Lath Strip™ EIFS Drainage Strip

Corrugated Lath Strip™ ensures a 1/8" gap for drainage in water-managed EIFS and Dryvit facades. Corrugated Lath Strip keeps terminations open for drainage. Also works with starter boards.

Choose the drainage strip that's kept EIFS dry for over 25 years.
