Welcome to the redesigned MTIdry.com! We have updated our web site to make the wealth of information on it more accessible to our customers. However, we also know that these changes may take a little while to get used to. If any of your questions remain unanswered after this FAQ page, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance.
You can access our product information by clicking on the Products link in the navigation bar at the top of the web site. Our web site's Products segment is organized to display each of our drainage planes, weep systems, and accessories products in its respective category, with a title and preview image. Clicking on a product's title or preview image will take you to that product's home page.
On each product's home page you'll find information on what the product does, how it is typically installed, its composition and specifications, and ordering information. Below the large product image you will see a small collection of thumbnails. Clicking on these brings up a large view of that thumbnail. Most products also have a 3D View thumbnail. Clicking this brings up instructions for using the interactive image, which can be rotated 360° by clicking and dragging over the image. To go back to the product photos and close the 3D View, click on the Close 3D View button at the upper-right corner of the 3D image, or simply click one of the other thumbnail images.
The HyperSpecs Wall Details segment has been redesigned to make finding a moisture control system for your wall application easier than ever. To access these wall details, first click on the HyperSpecs link in the navigation bar at the top of this page.
In the left hand column of the HyperSpecs page you will be presented with six different ways to find the details you need.
To Browse by Veneer Type, Detail Type, or Products Used click the appropriate heading in the left column to expand a list of opportunities. Next, pick one of thise criteria to browse by. The wall application details that meet this criterion will appear as thumbnails in the right column of the web page. Clicking on the heading again will collapse the list of criteria. Browsing 15 Most Popular Details brings up the thumbnails for the most frequently viewed details. Searching HyperSpecs by keywords allows you to provide your own criteria for searching HyperSpecs.
Clicking on one of thumbnails will bring up information on which products are used in the system shown, along with assets (including detail drawings, installation animations, and CADdetails) to help you install the wall system. To access these assets you will need a Free MTIdry.com account. To access the shipping information and specifications simply click on the Ordering and Shipping Bar. To view other product photos and see the product in 3D, click on the photo of the product to visit it's home page.
Browsing Canadian Details take you to a page with special information on Canadian Code for drainage planes, along with a small packet of wall details.
MTI provides Free online courses to help you earn AIA/CES Credit, or credit for another continuing education program. To take a course you must have registered for your own account at MTIdry.com, and must be logged in. Once you have done this, visit our Education page and click the button beneath the title of the course you want to take. A new window will open with an hour-long, flash-based course that you can take when it's convenient for you. These courses require Adobe Flash and speakers or headphones on your computer.
At the end of the course you will be asked to select the type of credit you wish to receive for taking the course (AIA Credit, a Certificate of Completion, or both). If you wish to receive AIA credit you must provide your AIA Member Number. Then you will take a short quiz over the course you took. You must score over 80% on the follow-up quiz to receive credit for this course. You may retake the quiz using your browser's back button if you score below 80%. When you have a passing score, you are asked to submit the score to MTI. We will then process your credit with the AIA and/or mail a certificate to the address given on your account.
If you cannot complete the course and follow-up quiz in one sitting, simply return to the Education page and choose to Take Online Course again. You can skip ahead to where you left off using the menu on the right side of the presentation, or skip to the last slide which has the link for the quiz.
If you've lost your password MTI can e-mail you a new, computer generated password. Visit the Forgotten Password page here, or use the link on the Login page. You can then log in with this password on the web site, and then choose to change your password in the Account Settings Link at the top of the page, just below your name.
